Hi! I'm Andy.

I have spent nearly 20 years in public education as a teacher, instructional coach, administrator, and state educational specialist. My experience gives me a deep understanding of the challenges facing our schools—both in the classroom and at the district level. As a former Newberg educator, I know firsthand what students and teachers need to succeed. My current role has made me well-versed in the policies, laws, and regulations that govern public education, ensuring I will bring informed leadership to the School Board Zone 1.

I am a strong believer in accountability, transparency, and responsible decision-making, and I am committed to ensuring our schools provide high-quality education while being good stewards of taxpayer dollars. I value the Newberg and Dundee communities and believe that strong schools are the foundation of a thriving community.

I will bring a steady hand to ensure decisions are made with students, families, and taxpayers in mind. I believe in upholding community values, prioritizing academics over politics, and ensuring that schools prepare students for a successful future.

Academic Excellence

Schools must prepare students with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed. I will work to ensure a strong, high-quality curriculum that prioritizes core subjects, raises academic achievement, and sets high expectations for students and educators.

Fiscal Responsibility

Our schools must have a sustainable financial foundation. I am committed to rebuilding a healthy ending fund balance, ensuring taxpayer dollars are spent wisely, and implementing stronger financial oversight to prevent budget shortfalls.

Trust & Accountability

Parents and community members deserve transparency and open communication from the School Board. I will work to ensure policies reflect community values and put the focus back on student success.
